Jeff Knott started in the pool business in 1974 managing Catalina Pools in New Orleans. In 1984 he decided to start up Crystal Pools and Spas to allow customers to experience his own business philosophy. That is not to build 100 or more pools a year but instead build 15 quality hands on pools. Jeff decided not to advertise but work on word of mouth. He would supervise the whole process even plumbing his own pools and making his own sales calls. In 1999, Kevin his son graduated from Southeastern in business management and decided to keep the tradition going. While being around pools, helping his father plumb, most of his life he decided to take on the challenge of satisfying customers himself.

While Jeff still uses the old-school approach, designing pools with pencil and graph paper(like Nash Roberts), Kevin decided to design with a more modern approach with a pool CAD program. While their styles differ, Jeff being the old school X’s and O’s mechanic, Kevin brings a more modern computer approach to Crystal Pools. These two approaches give customers a great 1-2 combo. You will notice that when you have Crystal Pools come to your home for an estimate, it will either be Jeff or Kevin. Not some salesman that works off of commission that you will never see again.

Jeff and Kevin will make you a promise that you get what you pay for. We won’t throw mud on our competitors, we just know what we can do and that is totally satisfying you the consumer. You will have our personal cell phone numbers and even can have our home number. Remember we work off of word of mouth and if we don’t please you we won’t be in the business that long. We value each of our clients and you WILL receive a custom constructually sound investment when you choose us. Since Kevin has joined Jeff permanently in 1999 we build 20-25 pools a year, that is it. Over that, supervision would become too difficult for anybody. We are confident in ALL of our subs but go beyond that, we are there. We don’t just fax them a set of plans and tell them to call to pick up a check. Instead we are there for the critical times such as the gunite phase, making sure the steel is in the center of the concrete rather than walked into the mud and drying under the gunite.

It is Crystal Pools philosophy to make every customer happy and to build that customers friends and families swimming pools. We are not the cheapest price in town rather we are the best builders in town (we truly feel that). If you are looking for the best price then we are not the contractor for you. If you are looking for a contractor that has been around under the same company name, who will only build a few pools a year. Then we are for you. It is simple fewer jobs, more supervision and less problems.
